“Good” at yoga?
Have you ever heard or said, “I’m so inflexible. [therefore] I’m not good at yoga.”?
I’m on a personal mission to eradicate this mindset. Like the enneagram, yoga of the mind, body, and spirit is about motivation (inspiration) rather than behavior (performance). Before today’s practice, I tell a story that powerfully illustrated this to me last week.
Today’s movement is strong, but the stretches are long and deep at the end. There is silence in those holds, so if you enjoy peaceful music, you might turn on a gentle playlist to support you throughout our practice.
